This paper takes the Korean translation of Su Shi’s poems by professor Jo Gyubaek and Ryu Jongmok as the research object and analyzes the vocabulary correspondence in the Korean translation of Su Shi’s poems by examining the different translation forms in the translation. Su Shi has written very richly and has had outstanding poetic talent throughout his life. He is known as the unique great poet in China in the 11th century. His poems have attracted the attention of many translators around the world. However, according to the investigation and research, it is found that the Korean translation works of Su Shi’s poetry are mixed, and there are still some translation problems, this research systematically analyzes the translation process and translation form of Su Shi’s poems in Korean and explores the strategies of poetry translation.
Translation principles can be regarded as a measure of translation practice, a norm of translation behavior, a guide for translation practice, and an objective basis for evaluating translated texts.
This paper classifies and compares the Korean translations of Su Shi’s poems according to the literal translation, liberal translation, addition and omission, and changes in the translation method. Based on acknowledging contradictions and differences, eliminating disharmonious factors, increasing harmonious factors, and striving to achieve pluralism. Harmonious development among cultures.
