Generalized pustular psoriasis (GPP) is a severe form of psoriasis presenting widespread pustules on erythematous background with fever. GPP is extremely rare in children.
Due to its rarity, few evidence-based studies on treating pe diatric GPP exist, and no established guidelines.
A 7-year-old boy presented with scaly erythematous patches on the axillae, neck, scalp, and legs that occurred two years ago. After a skin biopsy, he was treated with topi cal tacrolimus under the diagnosis of psoriasis . Six months later, he developed sterile pustules on erythematous patches over the whole body with a fever. Skin biopsy showed sub corneal macropustules and large Munro’s abscess compati ble with GPP. He was treated with intravenous methylpred nisolone and oral cyclosporin. However, there was no signifi cant improvement, so we used adalimumab. After the treat ment, his skin lesions gradually improved without any com plications. Herein, we report a rare case of GPP in a child treated with adaliumab.
