The purpose of the study was to assess the awareness of housing management among residents and investigate their perceptions of the demand for housing repair as well as their awareness and intention to participate in government support programs. The study aimed to analyze the current perceptions and identify areas for improvement to encourage participation. The data for the analysis was collected through questionnaire survey method from August 14 to October 13, 2023, and the sample consisted of 48 respondents living in basement housing in Seoul. Considering that the economic status and perspectives on housing management might vary depending on the characteristics of landlords, the respondents were divided into two groups : 1) homewoers residing in their semi-basedment units (38 individuals) and 2) homeowners residing in different units wihin the building or in other locations (10 individuals). The results were as follows: 1) Regarding the state of building management (repairs), the highest demand was observed for periodic replacement of flooring due to moisture and mold, as well as for repainting due to a leak mark. 2) In terms of support programs for the home renovation and repairs, 54% of the landlords (out of 48 respondents) were unaware of such policies, and 81% had no experience applying for or utilizing them.
