As the national income level and housing supply rate increase, Korea is changing from an era of quantitative supply of housing to an era centered on housing welfare to improve the quality of housing. People’s lifestyles are changing significantly due to demographic changes such as low birth rate, aging population, increase in single-person households, and pandemics. Accordingly, the importance of housing services that improve the quality of life through various services necessary for living within the physical space of the house is increasing. This study aims to analyze and categorize various types of overseas advanced cases related to the operation of housing services in apartment complexes. The research method was content analysis, and five cases in Japan and the UK were selected and the housing services operated were classified into hardware, software, and humanware. As a result, various housing services were operated depending on the characteristics of the residents and apartment complexes in each case, and trends in commonly operated services and specialized services were identified. This study is significant in showing the possibility of efficient planning and implementation of apartment housing services in the future.
