Recently, the demand for light-weight and safety vehicles to made with ultra-high strength steels (UHSS) for hot-stamping has been increased in the automotive industry. Hot-stamping is a thermo-mechanical process where steel sheet is heated for a few minutes up to austenitization temperatures and then, transferred from furnace to a press tool. Before the process, the steel sheet consists of a ferrite-pearlite microstructure and shows a tensile strength about 600 MPa. At the end of the thermo-mechanical process, the steel microstructure may become fully martensitic and the tensile strength reaches approximately 1500 MPa. The 22MnB5 is a widely used steel grade in automotive indestries for hot-stamping applications known as press-hardened steel (PHS). The PHS is commonly protected with metallic coatings prior to hot-stamping process in order to avoid both, steel oxidation and decarburization during the furnace heating and the transfer step to the die press. The hot-dip Al-Si coating is a widespread system used in steel for hot-stamping applications. This coating shows stability at high temperature, good corrosion resistance. However, Al-Si coating has limitations in cathodic protection, but just barrier protection. And it can be possibly concerned local corrosion when the micro-crack occurs due to the different thermal expansion coefficient between coating and substrate. Therefore, many attempts have been made to improve the corrosion resistance of the Al- ... 전체 초록 보기
