    In civil construction, compaction work is a foundational process that hardens and flattens the ground. Previous studies on quality assessment of compaction work have mainly focused on methods to evaluate the degree of hardness. This study proposes a method to assess the flatness of terrain in real-time after compaction work. For this purpose, distance values from LDS are converted into 3D coordinates using GNSS and IMU sensors, and the direction of the roller is determined to identify points before and after compaction. A rectangular grid encompassing the entire measurement area is created, and points within the grid are identified. By organizing these points and removing outliers, the impact of noise on measurements can be reduced. The 3D shape is restored using the mesh offset method. The algorithm"s reliability was verified by applying it to large-area compaction work data.
