The domestic automobile industry, in its endeavor to fulfill the requirements of overseas Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), has formed a network of global research centers. These centers, however, encounter challenges in upholding uniform design specifications and quality control, primarily due to disparate design proficiencies among institutes. This paper introduces a novel approach to design automation, focusing on the utilization of Computer-Aided Design (CAD) templates and libraries, with a special emphasis on suspension systems, an integral aspect of automobile engineering. The method involves the development of a CATIA part template, which is derived from a comprehensive analysis of suspension shape characteristics. Complementing this is the establishment of a versatile parts library using JSON. Furthermore, an assembly template has been designed to simplify the process of part assembly. This study culminates in a thorough design automation process, transformed into a program using the VB.NET programming language. This strategy not only harmonizes design processes across global research institutes but also enhances the management of design specifications. The implementation of this methodology signifies a notable advancement in standardizing design practices and improving quality standards in the international automobile industry.
