The purpose of this study is to present quantitative basic data for a stable approach shot by analyzing the differences in kinematic variables and muscle activity during the pitch shot, a general approach, and the lob shot, an applied type. The results of this study are as follows. First, as a result of analyzing the left and right extensor carpi radialis muscles for pitch shots and lob shots in a 30m golf approach movement, no significant differences were found in all sections. Second, as a result of analyzing the left and right brachioradialis muscles for pitch shots and lob shots in a 30m golf approach movement, a significant difference was found in the downswing section in the case of the left brachioradialis muscles, and lob shots were more effective than pitch shots. Average muscle activity was found to be high. There was no significant difference in muscle activity of the right brachioradialis muscle in all sections. Third, as a result of analyzing the left and right longus longus muscles for pitch shots and lob shots in a 30m golf approach movement, no significant differences were found in all sections. Fourth, the kinematic analysis variables of the club and ball for pitch shots and lob shots in a 30m golf approach movement showed no significant differences in carry, rotation amount, launch angle, and landing angle at impact. However, there was a significant difference in peak height and hang time at impact, and the lob shot had a higher peak and longer flight distance than the pitch shot. Summarizing the above results, it is as follows. Compared to the pitch shot, the average muscle activity of the left brachioradialis muscle was higher in the downswing section of the lob shot than the pitch shot, so it is judged to be a movement that flexes the left elbow, allowing the left hand to play a leading role rather than the right hand, thereby increasing the vertical launch angle of the ball. In other words, the lob shot is judged to be performed by pulling the club toward the body during the downswing and ensuring high trajectory and accuracy. In addition, the highest point height and hang time of the lob shot were longer than those of the pitch shot, which is believed to be the difference that distinguishes the lob shot from the pitch shot.
