骈文(PianWen) permeated the novel a lot. They are usually independent phrases or combinations of them, not completely one-sided sentences. Therefore, the combination of 骈文(PianWen) is the most common way for 骈文(PianWen) to permeate novels. This combination of changing characters was included in each part of the novel like a jewel. For example, the introduction, title, poetry and history inserted among the novels, part of the novel, the next notice led by “分教是”, the author’s commentary led by “正是”, and the novel’s commentary.
In the process of permeating the colloquial style novel, 骈文(PianWen) was restricted by the influence of the colloquial style novel’s tone and narrative demands. The novelist realized the popular renovation of 骈文(PianWen) through various means such as old-fashioned choice, the confinement of ancient history, the convergence of spoken language, and tolerance of couplet. This popularized 骈文(PianWen) maintained the form of couplet while also helping to shape the characters and develop the plot of the novel. This is the product of the deep fusion of the novel and the 骈文(PianWen). When dealing with many of the 骈文(PianWen) in popularized colloquial style novel, we should not condemn them from the classical view. It is necessary to consider the dynamic situation in which 骈文(PianWen) and novel interact and receive an objective evaluation.
