The current study was purported to investigate the priority of NCS(National Competency Standards) promotional directions for the competitiveness enhancement of sports instructors. In order to achieve the purpose, a purseful sample of 60 sports instructors, 12 field experts, 5 professors in the relevant field, and 5 directors affiliated with the relevant sports associations participated in this study. An in-depth interview and a survey were conducted. Results are as follows: First, skill competency, communication, and personal relationship competency were the most important variables for the basic job competency of sports instructors. Second, program plan management, member management, and sports magazine management were the most important components for the job unit competency of sports instructors.
