With the increasing popularity of cordless stick vacuum cleaners, motors designed for vacuum cleaners must be lightened for user convenience, making the miniaturization and weight reduction of motors progressively more crucial. This study investigates the design of chain stator cores and delta connections to reduce torque in high-speed motors and achieve stator miniaturization. Particularly, a novel approach has been developed to modify the connector part geometry of the chain stator core, enhancing electromagnetic performance while enabling variable control over the natural frequencies, rendering it suitable for vacuum cleaners with multiple operating modes. This approach has been developed and validated through numerical analysis and experimental validation. The research advances cost-effectiveness and productivity in motor manufacturing, minimizes the need for design iterations, and reduces the time and costs associated with motor development initiatives. Furthermore, it facilitates efficient manufacturing process management as it eliminates the necessity for additional molds for stator cores and insulation or assembly facilities.
