본 연구는 빨대의 색과 재질이 소비자의 수용도에 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 실시되었다. 사용감 기호도를 제외한 다른 기호도 항목에서는 네 가지 빨대를 이용한 커피 시료의 기호도 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 감정용어 결과에서는 색보다는 재질이 같은 빨대에서 유사한 감정용어와의 연관성을 나타내는 것을 알 수 있었다. 플라스틱 빨대보다 종이 빨대에서 부정적인 감정을 이끄는 것을 알 수 있었고 이는 소비자들이 종이 빨대에 대한 친숙도가 낮기 때문이라고 사료된다. 이를 통하여 산업체에서 소비자의 다양한 음료 시장에서 빨대에 대한 소비자의 정서적 반응에 대한 연구로 활용하여 마케팅 전략의 기초 자료로 사용될 수 있을 것이라 생각된다.
