Decimeter-scale, domal bryozoan-bearing patch reefs are reported from the upper Duwibong Formation (Darriwillian), Taebaeksan Basin. The reefal horizon overlies bioclastic packstone to grainstone and overlain by bioclastic wackestone to packstone. The reef is composed of centimeter-scale branching frameworks made up of thin laminae showing globular, domal and massive forms. The dominant growth directions change from horizontal to sub-horizontal growth at the base to middle part to sub-vertical to vertical growth at upper part. These reefs are dominated by trepostome bryozoans and domal argonitic organisms (stromatoporoid?) with poorly preserved internal structure associated with subordinate siliceous sponges, calcimicrobe Girvanella and red alga Solenopora.
