This study investigates the effects of ICT-based home-centered sensory integration therapy content on sensory processing and behavioral performance in children with pervasive developmental disorders (PDD). The study involved 20 children with PDD from five child development centers in the Daegu-Gyeongbuk region. The intervention was conducted three times a week for 30 minutes per session over four weeks, totaling 12 sessions. Sensory profile 2 was used to determine the child’s sensory processing ability, and GAS was used to measure behavioral performance ability. Measurements of sensory processing and behavioral performance before and after the intervention indicated a significant decrease in sensory hypersensitivity symptoms and meaningful improvements in sensory processing abilities and behavioral performance. These findings suggest that ICT-based sensory integration therapy can be an effective intervention method for children with pervasive developmental disorders. Further research with a larger sample size and more structured studies is needed. This study demonstrates the potential of providing a new approach to children with pervasive developmental disorders who have limited access to therapy opportunities.
