The Sundanese script is one of Indonesia's cultural assets used in historical texts from the West Java region, Indonesia. However, nowadays, very few people who know to read it. This problem is further complicated because the younger generation is not interested in these ancient writings. Even though this script can still be seen on various objects in the museum, almost no one can understand it. Hence, visitors who come to the museum only to see historical relics without being able to explore their historical meaning and led to the loss of this historical treasure. As a solution, this study proposes a computer vision-based approach in the form of a Sundanese script detection mobile application to recognize the shape of the script and convert it into Latin letters. We will use Roboflow and machine learning methods like YOLO (You Only Look Once) to create these detectors and provide a dataset with relevant amounts.
