This paper introduces an evaluation and comparison of the proactive and reactive routing operations–destination sequenced distance vector (DSDV), adhoc on-demand distance vector (AODV), and dynamic source routing (DSR)–with the use of efficient factors of the nodes present. The evaluation of their performance is performed using a fuzzy logic system. It is based upon three outputs of the performance parameter (a totally fuzzy system with three outputs, i.e., packet delivery ratio (PDR), delay, and routing overhead) subjected to various conditions with reference to their requirement and varied mobility speed. The main contribution of the article is to assess the performance of DSDV, DSR, and AODV in the MANET with different topological parameters using NS-2, MATLAB, and one-way ANOVA analysis. The fundamental objective of the paper is to focus on the data concerning DSDV, AODV, and DSR protocols for analyzing various metrics like delay, normalized routing overhead, and PDR.
