With the growing popularity of adventure tourism, women have emerged as key participants, drawing academic interest due to their distinct travel motivations and psychological needs. This study employs grounded theory and qualitative research methods to explore the travel motives of female adventure tourists in the Four Girls Mountains, using NVivo software to analyze online comments. The main motivations identified include escaping daily pressures, pursuing self-discovery, challenging personal limits, engaging in social interaction, and exploring cultural experiences. The findings underscore adventure tourism as a pathway for women’s physical and mental well-being, personal growth, and identity development. Based on the analysis, a motivation model centered on freedom and self-transcendence is proposed, offering new insights into women's adventure tourism and contributing to the broader discourse on gender diversity.
