초록·키워드
This study aims to develop an instructional model that integrates Case-Based Learning(CBL), an effective learner-centered teaching and learning method, with Creative Problem Solving(CPS), a systematic problem-solving approach, to enhance students' creative problem-solving skills, a key requirement in today's increasingly uncertain and complex society. To achieve this, we first conducted an in-depth review of the theoretical backgrounds and educational effectiveness of CPS and CBL, and analyzed the limitations identified in existing research. Next, we proposed an instructional model that integrates the core principles and stages of both methodologies to support learners' creative and systematic solutions to real-world problems. The proposed model organically links the cyclical processes of CPS—problem recognition, idea diffusion and convergence, solution implementation, and reflection—with the case analysis and application stages of CBL. To ensure the academic validity of the developed instructional model, we conducted multi-stage consultations with a group of educational technology and creative education experts and conducted content validity verification. The teaching model developed through this study is expected to simultaneously cultivate learners' higher-order thinking skills, collaborative abilities, and self-directed learning, and to provide practical teaching and learning guidelines for fostering creative talent in a changing educational environment.
