This study aims to determine regulation improvement for promoting development in Gyeongi province. For the past three decades regulations in Gyeonggi province has hindered reasonable development of Gyeonggi province as well as Capital Region Area in Korea.
Because of population, housing, and landuse, Gyeonggi province has had many difficulties on international competitiveness and foreign investors. Especially, packages of regulations that have not considered regional conditions and characteristics have caused serious problem such as reverse discrimination and undeveloped areas.
Therefore, this study is to understand regulations of 31 citiesㆍguns in legal and institutional aspect in Gyeonggi province. Also this analyzes regulations by city size, regional and geographical characteristics. Finally, this suggests priority of regulation improvement regulation requested by each cityㆍgun in Gyeonggi province.
To achieve this, first, this study understands existing conditions and characteristics in each cityㆍgun, second, this classifies 31 citiesㆍguns by similar category, and finally, by establishing criteria for regulation and reverse discrimination in Gyeonggi province, this proposes preferential improvement ranking to develop Gyeonggi province using AHP Analysis.
