초록· 키워드
This paper investigates Bongsulrang, the last novel written by Shon, Chang-sup after he returned to Japan again. The paper focuses on the recognition change in the writer in respect of national identity. The novel was published in the daily newspaper in series, "Hankook Ilbo". Bongsulrang took the form of an historic novel; however, it represented the agony that the writer wrestled with concerning national identity in an indirect way. This meaning that is found in Bongsulrang can be seen more clearly when studied and compared with other novels of the writer, such as "Naeksiojok" (The Scribbers) and "Gil" (The Road).
