For these two years ever since the early months of the year 2008, the whole economic and press world of the PRC(the People’s Republic of China) was enveloped in flames of violent controversies of the pros and cons of the government’s intervening in the marketplace. The controversies was focused directly on whether to let government intervene in the deciding and executing of necessary policies or not. Which is right between the intervention or non-intervention by the Chinese government in the relevant policy-making and policy execution? These controversies deteriorated into a head-on confrontation on the matters of the identity of the PRC’s (the People’s Republic of China) socialism between the pros and cons of the government’s intervening in the marketplace. The consenting party on the government’s intervening in the policy -making and policy execution supports the passive and negative inervening in the policy - making and policy execution, meanwhile, the opposing party on the government’s intervening in the policy-making and policy execution supports the active and positive relying on the market economy, which is considered to be same as ‘the support of the active and positive non-intervention by the government.). Based on such an analysis of the situation as above-mentioned, the author concludes that the People’s Republic of China’s domestic environmental atmosphere for maintaining the identity of the PRC‘s socialism has become more negative. The author also concludes that the people of the PRC(the People’s Republic of China) have not been interested in the maintenance of the socialism identity and used to pay little attention to the socialism identity. The author also point out that the PRC’s government attaches importance to the development of Chiese economy, and thus they used to pay much more attention to the adoption of policies which are of practical use for the economic development. They used to disregard the colors of the policies and thus they did not pay their attention to the consideration whether the economic policies adopted by the PRC’s government are suitable for maintaining the socialism identity or not. In the meanwhile, the author investigated the development process of the theory of Socialist Market Economy of Chinese Style, and thus found that the development direction of the theories of Socialist Market Economy of Chinese Style has not been focussed on the maintenance of socialism identity. Aining at adopting the Western Countries’ economic theories which are useful for the economic development, the academic world of the PRC encourages many professors to study and adopt as many Western economic theories as possible, which are considered to be against the direction of adhering to the PRC’s government principle for maintaining their socialism identity. Such being the case, the process of theorization of the theory of ‘Socialist Market Economy of Chinese Style’ has not been completed yet, and also no further progress has not been made for the development of theorization, due to the problems of such a viviparous contradiction as a theory based on the empiricism and empirical approach. Accordingly, the will of the PRC’s government to maintain the socialism identity will become weaker and weaker and thus the ground for the theorization of the theory of ‘Socialist Market Economy of Chinese Style’ will also become weaker and weaker.
