Kim Dong-nee saw capitalism and socialism as the both sides of modernity, and maintained Neo-Renaissance to dream of the world beyond them. Formally, his new renaissance project coincides with the two general ways of humanism that it come upon a critical period: 1) a tendency to return to the traditional and 2) an attempt to redefine human beings; Mo-wha in Moonyeodo (巫女圖) is a person to show the mechanism. Mo-wha is disinterested and give herself over to Nature, which means the advent of new human. While the modern episteme sees Society as an assemblage that individuals gather under the theory of social contract, Kim regards Nature as a whole and then human as its positioner, which is a project over modern thinking. Kim also advocated humanism for nation. This shows that he aspired toward the world order that we should recognize the individualities of each nation state and also the individualities be in harmony. Kim's idea is often suspected of fascism, but it is a misunderstanding to regulate his idea in modern frame.
