초록· 키워드
With the exception of a few works, most of the fourteen stories in Call to Arms (Nahan) and the eleven stories in Wandering (Panghuang) are tragic in nature. When surveying the body of research on Lu Xun’s literature within the field of modern Chinese literary studies, one finds that, despite its overall richness, studies focusing on the tragic aspects manifested in Lu Xun’s works remain relatively insufficient.
In order to supplement this deficiency and to reexamine Lu Xun’s works from a new perspective, this paper undertakes a focused analysis that places the tragic nature of Lu Xun’s literature at its center. It seeks to explore what kind of tragic view underlies Lu Xun’s literature; how he anatomizes and lays bare the souls of the Chinese people who are destroyed within a tragic reality; and how such an attitude toward tragedy is concretely expressed within his works.
