This paper, based on Ken Wilber's 'Integral Spirituarity', explored and discussed the differences between 'stages and states' of consciousness, the relations of them according to the 'Wilber-Combs Latitude', and the importance of understanding the relationships between the unconscious 'shadows', consisted of repressed and denied feelings, drives, and tendencies, and the meditation. Also this essay pointed the way to roles for religions as the great 'conveyor belt' for humanity and its stages of growth in the modem and postmodern world, because they are the only institution allowed to sanction stages that humanity in its premodern passed through and they have various methods to point to the higher dimensions that beyond the less developed states and stages.
