The national assembly is negatively evaluated by people and positively by lawmakers. The root of the negative evaluation of the national assembly is from political party interests in the form of party structure regionalism. In other words, political party opinion has nothing to do but be conducted oppressively because of party regionalism, public nomination and the influence in the election process. Thus, we should solve the subordinate problems between parliamentary parties and the national assembly and democratize decision-making procession political parties.
Lawmakers responded they have generally moderate ideologies however, in the case of the Uri party, which thinks they’re close to the ideological intention of the Grand National Party, it is notable. This means that the political spectrum of Korean party structure leans too much one way. It was positive to women lawmaker’s work, especially for their sincerity.
Political participation of women lawmakers is a rightful request of a democratic society so that various ways of participation is not only for women lawmakers but also for changes of the whole political structure.
