Currently there is a strong tendency to the recognition of corporate social responsibilities. The whole society including consumers and corporation managers considers that excellent corporations are 'social corporations' rather than 'economical corporations'.
Based on theoretical research, this study suggests directions and institutionalized systems for the introduction of the corporate social report. This study reviewed works on corporate social reports carried out by Following this review, and based on considering cases abroad.
The review took the form of a literature study and internet search, and identified issues related to the evaluation of the social performance of Korean corporations.
The report therefore emphasizes that attaining such positive images is a prime challenge for corporations and that the introduction and institutionalization of the corporate social report is a basic task for corporations in the 21 st century.
