Structural equation modeling (SEM) is a family of statistical procedure that includes techniques such as path analysis and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). Today this statistical procedure is essential tool for researcher in field of social science. In this paper, I reviewed concept and procedure of structural equation modeling and compare three widely used computer program (Amos, EQS, & LISREL) for SEM. Amos have graphical user interface that is convenient to novice of SEM. Amos also have special feature of processing missing data (FIML). EQS have best data screening system for SEM. Robust estimation is unique merit of EQS program. Compare with other program, LISREL have best algorithm that compute for latent variable model.
