English medium teaching (EMT) for tertiary level courses is controversial amongst academics in Korea because its effectiveness in delivering academic contents to students remains questionable. By taking that EMT is an irrevocable trend at Korean universities, this paper contributes to the practical and effective pedagogical side of teaching tertiary level courses in English. Highlighted are fundamental teaching principles: knowledge first, Discussed are some methodological and pedagogical considerations to increase the efficacy of EMI. Also listed are a set of practical expressions which can be expediently and at discretion adopted by Korean academics. Dexterousity in EMT comes with your drills and experiences.
