This study, we aimed to investigate the causal relationship between cultural orientation, leisure activity types and life satisfaction. So we generally hypothesized that cultural orientation effect to leisure activity types and life satisfaction, while leisure activity types impact to life satisfaction.
The data were collected from Korean General Social Survey statistical databases dated of August 31, 2007. The structural equation model of AMOS were applied to analyze the data.
The results were as follows:
First, The individualism and collectivism effect not significant on play-rest type, but individualism and collectivism influenced significantly on hobby-sociable type.
Second, The play-rest type effect not significant on family satisfaction and work-leisure satisfaction, while, hobby-sociable type influenced significantly on family satisfaction and work-leisure satisfaction.
Third, The individualism and collectivism effect not significant family satisfaction and work-leisure satisfaction.
From these results we can conclude that cultural orientation influenced significantly on leisure activity types and leisure activity types influenced significantly on life satisfaction, but cultural orientation effect not significant on life satisfaction.
