This study investigates the quality of mentoring services for disadvantaged children focusing on the five components of services quality, and analyzes the level of quality assessed by parents of service users and their service loyalty. Data were collected by "Keimyung Love Sharing Young Mentoring Group" delivering mentoring services for disadvantaged children living in Dalsung-Gun, Daegu, Korea.
Study findings show that most parents of children receiving mentoring services satisfy the quality of those services. The average score is over 4.5(full score-5). In addition, the quality dimensions of sociality, assurance, and empathy get higher scores than those of reliability and responsibility, though the score differences are small. Hierarchical multiple regression reveals that the quality dimensions of reliability and assurance significantly influence the level of service loyality among childrens' parents using mentoring services. Especially the quality dimension of reliability have the strongest impact on the level of service loyality. Reliablity relates to whether service providers keep their promise and make a record on what they did.
