The purpose of this paper is looking for a new vision of post-modern society through I-Ching. Looking for a new vision of post-modern society is very imminent task in sociology because the current sociology is losing vision of future society.
Why is current sociology losing vision of future society? The fundamental reason is the world view of current sociology. The world view of current sociology is the modern view of world. And this is the period when the modern time should be disappeared. Therefore, current sociology based on the modern world view can not provide a vision for future society. I-Ching includes fluently the unified view of world which is the post-modern view of world. This is why a new vision of post-modern society is explored through I-Ching in this paper. The results are as follows. One of the vision of post-modern society through I-Ching is the society of love. The society of love means the society where all confronts combine as love. This is quite different from the modern society where all confronts compete and conflict each other. One of the vision of post-modern society through I-Ching is the society of forgiveness. The society of forgiveness means the society where every kind of mistakes and faults is forgiven. This is quite different from the modern society where every kind of mistakes and faults is punished. One of the vision of post-modern society through I-Ching is the society of yin. The society of yin means the society where feminineness is pursued. This is quite different from the modern society where masculinity is ruling.
One of the vision of post-modern society through I-Ching is the society of courtesy. The society of courtesy means the society where people acts politely. This is quite different from the modern society where people acts impolitely.
One of the vision of post-modern society through I-Ching is the society of self-control of desire. The society of self-control of desire means where desire is under control. This is quite different from the modern society where desire is pursued.
