    The aerodynamic performance of a heavy truck was numerically investigated under afreestream velocity of 22.2m/s to analyze the difference according to the mesh types. Two mesh types were considered as polyhedral mesh and tetrahedral mesh to investigate the aerodynamic characteristics of athree-dimensional heavy truck. The pressure distribution, streamlnes, velocity contours, pressure coefficient, and drag coefficient were obtained to evaluate the aerodynamic characteristics of the heavy truck. The numerical results showed that the slight differences in pressure distribution, velocity, and streamlines occurred in the flow field around the heavy truck. Nonetheless, the overall aerodynamic characteristics, including drag coefficient, were broadly similar between the two mesh types. The results confirmed that the aerodynamic characteristics of the heavy truck were similar despite the differences in mesh type.
