    This study proposes a lightweight PDF-based personal information detection system to address potential data leakage risks caused by residual files in shared PC environments. The proposed system extracts text from PDF files and identifies sensitive information such as phone numbers, email addresses, national identification numbers, and student IDs using a regular expression–based detection method. In particular, this study focuses on designing a lightweight detection framework with low computational overhead and real-time processing capability, in contrast to deep learning–based approaches. By enabling fast and accurate identification of the presence of personal information, the system allows early recognition of potential data exposure risks. Furthermore, the system is designed with a modular architecture, allowing future extension to include automatic file protection and encryption at the end of file usage.
