Purpose: This study views fire casualty occurrence in industrial parks not simply as a matter of distance to fire stations, but as an urban-architectural issue shaped by the combined effects of road network structure and industrial location conditions. Method: This study examined 1,468 building fire cases that occurred in 41 industrial parks in Busan, South Korea, in 2023. Using GIS, building characteristics, distance to the nearest fire station, and surrounding building density were constructed. Choice and Integration values were then calculated for 400 m, 800 m, and 1200 m radii using DepthmapX. Pearson correlation analysis and binary logistic regression analysis were subsequently conducted to examine the relationships among road network structure, building density, and fire casualty occurrence. Result: The results show that Integration was positively correlated with surrounding building density, indicating that industrial facilities tend to be concentrated around highly central road networks. Fire casualty occurrence showed the strongest correlation with nearby building density within a 50m radius, while building density and Integration were significant in the logistic regression analysis. These findings suggest that fire casualty occurrence in industrial parks is closely associated with the spatial concentration of buildings and industrial activities around central roads, rather than being explained solely by individual building characteristics or distance to fire stations.
