This study examined the mediating role of family multicultural acceptance in the relationship between acculturation and marital satisfaction among married immigrant mothers with infants. For this purpose, acculturation was assessed along two dimensions: Korean culture acceptance and heritage culture maintenance. The participants were 310 married immigrant mothers who had lived in Korea for five years or less. Path analysis was conducted in Mplus 8.11, and the significance of the indirect effects was tested with a bootstrapping procedure. The results showed that family multicultural acceptance partially mediated the relationship between Korean culture acceptance and marital satisfaction. However, heritage culture maintenance had no significant direct effect on marital satisfaction, and its association with marital satisfaction was fully mediated by family multicultural acceptance. These findings indicate that Korean culture acceptance and heritage culture maintenance are associated with marital satisfaction through distinct pathways. The findings also highlight the importance of fostering family multicultural acceptance to enhance marital satisfaction among married immigrant mothers.
