This study examines the association between climate technology-related development finance (CTRDF) and energy- transition outcomes in developing countries. Using OECD DAC CRS commitments, we construct CTRDF from climate-marked, technology-related activities across 117 developing economies from 2003 to 2022. We employ a two-way fixed-effects distributed-lag model with country-specific trends and Driscoll-Kraay standard errors, focusing on transmission and distribution losses, renewable energy consumption, and low-carbon technology imports. The results show that CTRDF is significantly associated with lower transmission and distribution losses over a three-year lag structure, while its links to low-carbon technology imports are positive but marginal. Meanwhile, no significant response is found for renewable energy consumption. The results suggest that climate technology finance is more readily observed in intermediate transition outcomes, particularly grid efficiency and technology inflows, than in short-run changes in the final energy mix.
