Flavored whipped cream canisters of nitrous oxide, informally known as ‘Whippets' or ‘Galaxy Gas', are easily accessible and are being used as a recreational drug. Previous studies have found that users inhale nitrous oxide and cyclohexyl isothiocyanate. Frequent use of the inhaled drug has been linked to an increased risk of asthma, lung problems, and potentially cancer.
