The foundation of e-Trade in Korea was established in 1991 December with the inauguration of EDI system which aim the automation in Trade business process, and the e-Trade Platform was constructed in 2004. Then, since 2008 July, e-Trade Service has been offered named as uTradeHub. This study is about analyzing present conditions and Obstructive factors in using those e-Trade Service System for Korean small and medium enterprises. So, this study is of searching for the obstructive factors of e-Trade service and trying to draw a conclusion about how the obstructive factors can affect on application level and performance of e-Trade service.
There has been many and wide studies on e-Trade in advance from the application level of e-Trade to the performance of e-Trade systems that are being used by users recently, and they are still on studying multifariously. Apparently, those advance studies on application level and performance of e-Trade service system show positive research results. However, their performances through using the e-Trade service system are nothing near as good as being expected especially in cases of Korean small and medium enterprises. At this time, this study shows the obstructive factors of e-Trade service system need analysis by dividing in systemic elements, operational elements and institutional elements.
As seen in the result of this study, the obstructive factors affect attentively on the relation between application level and performance of e-Trade systems. It means that there must be obstructive factors which hinder users to use e-Trade systems effectively, thus much constant and varied exertions are needed by government and related organizations to reduce their influence and support users to use the system further.
The result of this study can be expected to be utilized in arranging improvement methods and reconstruction of future e-Trade service system.
