Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the current status of management for Student Emotional and Behavioral Problems Screening Test. Methods: Descriptive research design and disproportional stratified and cluster random sampling were used in this study. Five elementary, middle, and high schools each in B Metropolitan City were selected and a class from each school was selected. The subjects were all of the parents of students of the class selected. Total 223 questionnaires were used in analysis. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, χ2-test, ANOVA with SPSS/WIN 21.0 program. Results: The subjects were well aware of the goals, types, and instruments of Student Emotional and Behavioral Problems Screening Test. The subjects had a high level of perception to the importance and necessity of Student Emotional and Behavioral Problems Screening Test and the necessity for referral to specialized institutions. The parents of elementary school students and middle school students had more knowledge about Student Emotional and Behavioral Problems Screening Test than those of high school students. Of the subjects, 64.6%(144) had an experience of receiving information for Student Emotional and Behavioral Problems Screening Test in advance. Of the subjects, 13.5%(n=30) had a result that their children had emotional and behavioral problems on Student Emotional and Behavioral Problems Screening Test within the last year and 56.7%(n=17) of them had their children referred to specialized institutions. Of the 17 subjects, 29.4%(n=5) had their children receive ongoing managements from specialized institutions till the present time. Conclusion: These findings suggested that the parents should be received information about Student Emotional and Behavioral Problems Screening Test and a need for the reinforcement of professional managements for students with emotional and behavioral problems according to the results of Student Emotional and Behavioral Problems Screening Test.
