In the history of Korean Buddhism, female Buddhists, together with the monks, overcame adversity and defended Buddhism. Therefore, it is necessary to gather hearts and act in harmony so that the National Association of Buddhist Women can be organized by referring to the cases of successful propagation. In order to activate the propagatory work of the National Association of Buddhist Women, education, ascetic practice, and faith must be the basis. To this aim, this study has conducted an MMS text questionnaire(naver office nfrm) with 17 items to 336 members(27.29%) out of 1,231 members of the National Association of Buddhist Women about the religious activities they are interested in.
The result of the consciousness survey for the religious action measure shows that 154 out of 336 respondents (45.8%) answered that parents are their ''opportunity to enter Buddhism''. For the ''religious activity experience'', 210 respondents (62.5%) said they had more than 20 years, and for ''individual practice(prayer, writing sutras, etc.)'', 95 respondents (28.3%) answered that they spend 30 minutes. As for the ''expected part of religious activities,'' the most respondent, 116 (34.5%), answered systematic new practice, followed by organized religious practice, which 82 respondents (24.4%) hoped. In ''how helpful it is in leisure activities,'' most of respondents of 195 people (58.0%) said that it is helpful in peace of mind and relaxation. Also, 177 answerers (52.7%) said that they have ''experience in joining religious activities during the COVID-19 period'' while most respondents, 187 people (55.7%), responded that they did not ''add a Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism (Jogyesa Temple, Bongeunsa Temple, etc.) channel in KakaoTalk.'' For ''whether there is a change in religious activities after COVID-19,'' most respondents, 153(45.5%), said ''that there is no change (the same)'', followed by ''there is a change (decreased)'' answered by 115 people (34.2%). As for the question, ''Which news from the religious order do you want to receive,'' the most people, 134 (39.9%), answered ''Pogyoweon (Buddhist group)'', followed by ''religious events'' answered by 108 people (32.1%).
Based on the results of the consciousness survey of the respondents, this paper proposes measures for religious activities. First, it is necessary to make a religious activity only for the National Association of Buddhist Women members. It is expected to provide an opportunity to deepen faith and build unity through the 48 Bodhisattva training system every year. Second, a regional network consisting of 24 diocesan headquarters should be established. For example, if it can establish a network that opens up an opportunity to interact with other regions by holding ''bazaars'', ''festivals for regional exchanges,'' and ''temple food experiences,'' it will positively influence the communication and revitalization of the region. Third, respondents expect ''systematic religious education'' and ''organized religious practice.'' For systematic education, it is necessary to focus on basic education (basic creed course) and the establishment of Buddhist thought through completion and graduation from a Buddhist university as the top priority. Therefore, it is required to open a course they can participate in by days and times of the week, and for this, a talent hunt and training to lecture at Buddhist Universities should also be conducted in advance.
Fourth, temples should conduct online propagation. Just as the temple website was created with the introduction of the Internet, now it is necessary to actively respond by opening an official temple account and using media such as YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram. Fifth, Buddhists should guide themselves to practice individual practice. It is necessary for a monk teacher to teach how to perform individual practice, how to pray and the depth of practice, and to check frequently. If individual achievement is met based on systematic Buddhist education, they will become self-satisfied Buddhists.
In order to cultivate themselves as true Buddhists, the direction of missionary of the religious group and the direction of religious activities Buddhists wants should head the same way. In addition, it is hoped that various research contents and methods related to propagation will be further conducted by subsequent researchers.
