The purpose of this study was to conduct a 12-week aerobic and anaerobic combined exercise program targeting obese middle-aged women and identify the effects of improving obesity on body composition, cardiovascular function, and electrocardiogram.
First, in the results of body composition of participants in the 12-week aerobic and anaerobic combined exercise program, the experimental group significantly decreased in pre and post test changes in body weight, while the control group significantly increased, and an interaction between group and period was observed. The results of body mass index (BMI) showed a significant decrease in the experimental group, a significant increase in the control group, and an interaction between group and period.
In the case of waist circumference, the experimental group significantly decreased in the pre and post change between group and an interaction between group and period was observed. Hip circumference results showed a significant decrease in the experimental group in the pre and post change between groups, and an interaction between group and period was observed.
Second, in the results of analyzing cardiovascular function, myocardial oxygen consumption showed a significant decrease in the pre and post test changes between groups in the resting phase and peak intensity phase during exercise in the experimental group, and the interaction between group and period was It appeared in the stable phase. The heart rate recovery rate showed a significant decrease in the experimental group at 2 minutes, a significant increase in the control group, and no interaction between group and period. Systolic blood pressure was found to be significantly reduced in the experimental group in the pre and post test changes between groups, and an interaction between group and period was found. There was no change in diastolic blood pressure between groups before and after, and no interaction between groups and periods was found. In the case of pulse pressure, there was a statistically significant decrease only in the experimental group in the 3-minute recovery phase in the pre and post change between groups, and no interaction between group and period was observed.
Third, the electrocardiogram analysis results showed that the QRS height significantly increased in the experimental group at rest, 3 minutes in the recovery period, 6 minutes in the recovery period, and 9 minutes in the recovery period in the pre and post change between groups, and no interaction between groups and periods was observed. didn''t There was no change in the QRS period between pre and post changes between groups, and no interaction between group and period was found. The pre and post test changes in ST segment height between groups showed a significant increase in the experimental group at rest, and no interaction between group and period was found.
In summary, the 12-week aerobic and anaerobic combined exercise program showed positive results in reducing obesity, heart rate recovery rate, systolic blood pressure, pulse pressure, and myocardial oxygen consumption, and was effective in improving cardiovascular function, as well as QRS height in electrocardiogram. It is believed that the improvement in ST segment height had the effect of improving ventricular contractility and improving myocardial ischemia.
