In the current digital age, information dissemination plays a pivotal role in shaping societies and economies. However, ensuring trustworthy information in Nigerian networks remains a pressing concern. This study explored the potential of leveraging blockchain technology to address this critical issue. Blockchain, which is known for its transparency, security, and decentralization, offers a promising solution for enhancing trust in information dissemination. By immutably recording and verifying data, blockchains can mitigate the spread of misinformation, fraud, and cyberattacks within Nigerian networks. This study delves into the significance of this technology, shedding light on its applications and benefits in the context of Nigeria"s network landscape. Through a comprehensive review of existing literature, this study lays the foundation for a deeper exploration of blockchain’s role in fostering trustworthy information dissemination, ultimately contributing to a more informed and secures Nigerian society.
