In the complex tendencies appealed in various
developments of contemporary architecture, a lot of
revaluation and reinterpretation of pre-war
avantgarde movements which have proceeded actively
in the field of architectural history, for the
investigation about initiative architectural movements
which had exprienced radical change of the early 20th
century, was an essential step to understanding about
contemporary architecture itself and its interelation
with modern architecture. The experimental plastic works
accomplished in Bauhaus caused tremendous reflection,
and theories shaped in it has concretized through the
means of architectural works by architects who
participated in it. In this context, this study have
clarified the interrelationship between Bauhaus
and contemporary architecture through the extraction
of architectural design principles of Bauhaus,
conceived as so called "Bauhaus Style", and
investigation about its architectural
concretization and development achieved in
modern period.
