This study attempted to investigate the meaning of the originality of Miaotze Costume comparable with the standard of contemporary beauty, that is of the plasticity represented in costume with specificity, from the perspective of decoratived design.
Therefore, this syudy could be found that the pattems used by Miaos involved human volitions such as the ethic as the ethic view and life philosophy of the times, and the like.
They largely used as the theme of patterns factual materials such as natyral objects easily accessible in the natural enviroment, those related to narratives reflective of ethnicity, animals and plants symbolic of auspicious omen, peace, happiness and good harrest with prosperity and abundance, And they not only crossornamented natural patlems and geometrical patterns by combining them but also geometric patterns alone, It can be seen that Miaos represented patterns with exaggerated formation, overalpping and modification and the comprehensive, formation of natural forms, abstract
rormationetc.
Aa mentioned above, it can be found that Miaos reflected the simplicity. and tolerant and profound beauty of the upper garment in the costume of Miaos, it can be seen to have its own beauth and functionality and be represented as the aristic word of practicality and vitalith. And Miaos introduced the three-dimensional ornamentation technique and used it as the criterion for determining the type of regions or uses of costume.
Seeing the ethinc costume of Miaos investigated in these several respects by the standard of contemporary beauty, it is thought that it has the infinite possibility of being used in contemporary fashion design on account of the characteristic of almost perfect costume
