The first, make-up of folk image based on tradition strongly represented oriental and exotic trait with gradation method of red color in Chinese style, eye make-up of splendid black color in Ancient Egypt, Japanese style make-up like pale skin representation, America Indian style like eye make-up of straight line image, and so on.
The second, make-up that reflect grotesque image based on experimental creativity found to be weird and comical
owing to use of exaggerated color and mixture of inappropriate elements.
The third, romantic make-up of Celtic style expressed image of girt with light red cheek, transparent skin expression,
curly red-colored hair, and natural lip gtoss.
The forth, patterns of pictorial make-up was various, based on paintings of art trend and was connected to elements of
detail in collage technique influenced by cubism.
In the mean time it was appeared that make-up which applied action painting method affected by abstract art and which
represented geometrical abstract image.
And make-up that printed Dali's paint from costume to face as a work influenced by surrealism was appeared.
In addition graphic make-up affected by Op art that interpreted geometrical expression came out.
Among the method of representation and pattern. the first, trait in expression of color is to use of free selection that is
not limited to typical color. Generally vivid and deep color was mainly used.
The second, representation of texture varied from hard&mat to glittering expression and stimulated visually attributed to
extremely intensive color.
The third, formative elements was represented more prominently as a detailed expression by using unique materials that had not been used in general make-up, It was the most remarkable aspect among John Galliano's work that is artistic and
experimental originality.
Following is the condusion of this study as above-mentioned result.
General patterns of make-up assume strong aspects of experimental trial and when it is considered by John Galliano's
aesthetic trait it was mostly shown as a grotesque make-up, It shows that make-up implies various trait as it is applied and changed in its technique and aspects of image, so it does not exist as one kind of pattern .
In condusion make-up cannot be explained only by one kind of trait. It means it can be interpreted by diverse aspects and associated with aspects of image and technique.
