The purpose of this study is to analyze make-up based on multiplicity expression form which is shown most frequently at the fashion show of John Galliano who has a strong inclination to art. The methods used in this study were theoretical research and empirical research. For theoretical research, the characteristics of the John Galliano fashion show and the make-up characteristics of multiplicity expression form were examined based on previous researches. Then make-up based on multiplicity expression form was analyzed by general, season, and expression element characteristics based on makeup photos by the design of each season from 2001 to 2010 of the John Galliano fashion show. The general characteristic of John Galliano fashion show make-up was multiplicity expression form which was applied most frequently. For season characteristics, make-up based on multiplicity expression form was shown in 10 out of 19 seasons from 2001 to 2010. In particular, 2007 F/W showed the most frequent multiplicity make-up. To investigate characteristics by expression elements applied to make-up based on multiplicity expression form at the John Galliano fashion show, the case of using each face part were taken. In the individual face part, the most frequently used expression element was a line for the eyebrow; a line for the eye line; the mixture of a plane and color for the eye shadow; a line for the eyelash; a plane for the blusher; and a plane for the lip. It is considered that the multiplicity expression form of make-up at the John Galliano fashion show is connected with the fashion trend of John Galliano recreating exaggerative and experimental sensation and feelings which are associated with abstract expressionism and cubism in wonderful harmony with the festival of colors.
