In this thesis, I attempted to prove the difference of Kim So-wol and Lee Sang-hwa. As is generally known, the two poets are very famous in the Korean Literary history, especially in 1920's.
The conclusions are
1> In the Korean Poetry, the traditional factors are Idealism and Realism. The two factors actioned and reactioned each other in the literary history. The two factors were opposed between two-line and five-line Hyang-ga, short and long Si-jo.
2> This phenomenon is seperated extremely in 1920's. The two poets experienced simultaneously these two trends. As a result, Kim So-wol was inclined to internal and passive trend, external and positive trend. but Lee Sang-hwa was inclined to
3> These two poets are at the peak of Korean poetry, but the difference is very great. It seems that the difference is derived from there view of life and there outlook on the world as appeared on there lives.
