This paper seeks to address the issue of multicultural education from the perspective of Christian education. The author argues that taking a multicultural perspective in the understanding and practice of Christian education is imperative not only in light of the socio-cultural changes caused by globalization and multiculturalization of our world but also in light of the central theological affirmations and confessions of faith that we make as Christians. Although the multicultural Christian education shares many of the assumptions and visions of multicultural education in public schools, the author presents a fundamentally different vision of multicultural education for Christians. The efforts of seeking cultural and political equality and affirmation of human diversity that define multicultural education are reinterpreted in terms of the Christian vision of restoring the wholeness of God's creation.
