Soil nailing is a kind of reinforcement method for urban excavation or slope stability. Due to its advantages in contructability & economization, use of soil nailing is on the increase. However because of its constructing character, soil nails must be in behind soil nailed wall. Hence, for constructing soil nailing, if soil nails will be in private land, agreement of landowner is need. furthermore, after the construction, for another construction in soil nailed ground, soil nails in the ground will be obstacles. For Removable Soil Nailing System developed recently, after the excavation soil nails are removed. So it solve those problems mentioned early. However, in Removable Soil Nailing System, after the constructing soil nails, removal of nail will not be able because of occurring the bending deformation of nails. From these reason, the removal rate of Removable Soil Nailing System is generally in 70∼80%. In this study, through theoretical studies, laboratory tests and real-scaled field test, we suggest FRP Nail's safety and contructability that is developed type of soil nail and don't need removal. As a result of this study, FRP Nail has enough safety and contructability comparing with Removable Soil Nailing System. Additionally in the view of its application and advantage, FRP Nail is good replacing constructing method for Removable Soil Nailing System.
