In this paper, the ventilation efficiency of an underground parking lot was investigated for several ventilating systems by numerical method. Air change effectiveness of non-mixing system was 0.84. It meant that 1.2 times supply air as much as designed supply air was needed to maintain good indoor air quality. In Dirivent mixing system which is most expensive one, air change effectiveness was 1.08. Therefore this system satisfied to ventilation design. In the jet fan mixing systems, air change effectivenessy for jet fan mixing system A with 18 jet fans and jet fan mixing system C with 6 jet fans in circulation mixing arrangement were 1.13 and 0.84 respectively. Jet fan mixing system C with 6 jet fans in transport mixing arrangement was 1.07. Jet fan mixing system A and jet fan mixing system C met the ventilation design. But velocity in jet fan mixing system A was over 2.0 ㎧ which is inappropriate in human comfort. Therefore this system is not proper to ventilation. Jet fan mixing system C was the optimum design for the underground parking lot ventilation among 5 systems examined in this paper.
